Bissell 3910

The Bissell 3910-6 vacuum cleaner sounds like a wood chipper, but it does a very good job on bare floors and carpet which is the reason we bought it.

The beater bar looses contact with the floor fairly quickly when you lower the handle and it would be nice if it had a separate on/off switch, but for the price of $89 at Sam' Club it's hard to beat.

Thanks for sharing, Rick.

I am not that familiar with the Bissell 3910 model so I checked consumer reviews on Amazon.com.

All I can say is wow! There are 194 reviews for the Bissell 3910 vacuum and the average rating is 4,5 stars.

Most users liked the reusable (washable) filter, great suction on carpets (as you mentioned too), easy to assemble and easy to empty the cup and of course the price of less than $100.

In fact, at the moment of writing this review, Amazon offers it for only $99 with free shipping in the USA...

Looks like a great vacuum and I can't wait to review the Bissell 3910 Momentum upright vacuum cleaner on this site...

Bissell 3910C
by: Anonymous

We live in a rural location with mature fir trees, rock and lots of dust. As well, we have four pets, all of whom shed plenty of fur. We must vacuum daily to combat all these forces of nature.

We bought our Bissell 3910C vacuum cleaner about three years ago, on sale for $99. It is still performing reliably well and has amazing suction capacity. I like the extension wands which come with the unit, especially the rotating upholstery wand, which does a good job at removing pet hair from the furniture, as well as the crevice wand.

However, there is one design flaw with the Bissell 3910C vacuum, which could be improved upon. When you are using the attached hose while the body of the unit is resting on a carpet, the unit will spray dust out the connection hose at the bottom, vacuumed from the carpet it's standing on.

Also, the body of the vacuum doesn't balance while you are using the extension hose, and the unit falls down. After a few years of use, the mechanism which holds the vacuum upright will fail, and the unit won't stand upright.

This said, the suction still works well, and overall it's a pretty good vac for the money.

Bissell motor problems
by: Donald Hanson

I bought a Bissell cyclonic/momentum bagless vacuum model #3910-h in January of 2008 from Home Depot.

At first it worked GREAT, but it started making noise this year. I took it too one of the Bissell Repair shops here in Nashua NH and he just told me that the motor is gone and it would cost more to fix it than the vacuum is worth ( its over the guarantee of course).

I also bought a model #h281 series from Bissell in December of last year. That one started to make noise this year so I took it too the repair shop and he said he found a clog in it and charged me $20.00 to fix it.

Got it home here two weeks ago and it worked for 3 or four times and it TOO is making the SAME noise as the previous vacuum. I called the repair shop and told him so I have to bring it back to him to look at it.

This time I am still under the warranty so lets see what happens. Two years or less out of a vacuum cleaner IS NOT A GOOD THING TO HAPPEN. I think Bissell is using CHEAP motors.

I called their customer service and they said they could not pay for the motor repair cause it is past their 1 year warranty. NOT MUCH HELP FROM THEM THATS FOR SURE!!! I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER BISSELL PRODUCT AGAIN!!!

bissel 3910 momentum bagless
by: Anonymous

The bissel 3910 momentum bagless vacuum did a good job picking up the dirt but as we used it a couple times a week for 3 weeks it leaked dirt from around the collection bowl, it didn't seem to seal properly, we finally returned the vacuum because it was messy cleaning the vacuum every time we emptied the dirt from the collection bowl, not sure if this is normal for bagless but i would much rather pay for and change bags than to have to clean the machine every time i dump the dirt.
