Bissell Heavy Duty 50C9 vacuum
by Vacuum-less in Olympia
I have owned the Bissell Heavy Duty Vacuum cleaner model 50C9 less than a year. I vacuum twice a week and take good care of the equipment.
First thing to break was the bottom plastic dirt opening cover. That happened in less than a month. When caling customer service about this part they knew immediately what I was talking about and would send one out for free.
Obviously, this is a common fault with the Bissell 50C9 vacuum. Then just recently, the brush quit rotating...yes, I did everything including removing the handle to try and reset it. Nothing happened. I found it interesting that customer service asked me if the "lifetime" belt was broken.
So she then informed me something must be wrong internally and would give me the "closest" authorized repair shop. Well it is North of Seattle...I live in Olympia. Remove the gas cost from the equation the commute time alone is not worth the fix.
Consider yourself warned this Bissell Heavy Duty 50C9 vacuum is a very "Heavy" as in weight... piece of junk. Do not buy it.
In addition, as I have now learned before I purchase my next vacuum I will make sure I first see where the authorized repair shop is.
