Dyson Blueprint

Bought the Dyson DC25 Blueprint. Loved the bagless feature, loved the vacuum. Two days later, a tiny plastic tab that holds the hose in place broke.
Dyson offers a 5 year warranty on parts. They promised a replacement in 3 to 5 days. Two weeks later, no part, and a third phone call reveals that there ARE no parts available anywhere and they can't give me a date when one will be available.
One week later (one month after purchase) they still couldn't tell me when the part would be available -- not a week, a month, two months, a year?? Mind you this is basically a universal hose for Dyson -- all their vacuums have the same hose with the same attachment.
So there's no replacement for ANY of Dyson models ANYwhere? A supervisor confirmed this for me. I agreed to take a different color from a different model, but they told me they're not available and couldn't tell me when they would be.
What good is a 5 year parts warranty if they don't stock the parts? Luckily I was able to return my Dyson Blueprint for full price, but Dyson lost my respect and my business with their poor after-the-sale service.
