Dyson DC 17 Allergy and Asthma

Do not buy Dyson products. We bought a Dyson DC 17 vacuum and it destroyed our brand new carpeting within a month of purchasing the product. The carpet fibers were ripped up creating an unsightly layer of fuzz on the surface of the carpet. The fuzz-layer attracts dirt and pet hair making it impossible for the carpeting to ever look clean. We contacted Dyson and they have given us the run around. We filed a BBB complaint and they have not responded truthfully. Luckily I have kept a record of all of my emails and telephone calls.

Dyson claims you must check with all of your flooring manufacturers to make sure you can use a Dyson on them. I checked with Mohawk and my carpeting has no care restrictions. However, Dyson will not even let me return my vacuum let alone discuss responsibility for the damage to my home. They have been rude and sarcastic. They have absolutely no interest or concern with the damage their product has caused to my home and potentially to other customer's homes.
