Dyson DC07 - Upright Turbo Cyclone Bagless

by Maureen & Jimmie
(Putney, Vermont)

I absolutely love my Dyson DC07 vacuum for several reasons. I like it so much that I now vacuum my place more than I ever did with other vacuums I have owned.

My very first impression of the Dyson after first use was one of amazement and then amusement. Yes, this vacuum has caused a mundane chore to be fun for me.

Just when I thought or continue to think that my floors are clean, I am always proven wrong after using this machine.

I have a big, black, relatively short haired dog that I brush on a regular basis and therefore shows no signs of obvious shedding. However, my Dyson always shows me a different story.

Because of the see through collection bin it is quite apparent how much dog hair, silt, dust and dirt you are able to capture at any given time.

This machine is also very "user friendly". All the attachments that you would ever need including the extension wand and hose are conveniently located on the unit.

For those with allergies it comes with a triple filtration system. One permanent hepa filter and two other pieces that are easily removed and cleaned.

My mother is a "clean freak". I offered to vacuum her whole house one day (told you it was fun). She's hard to impress but even she was shocked that her carpet went from being a dusty rose color back to the original true rose color.

My Mom was impressed and also shocked at how many bins of silt and dust I had to empty before I was done.

The Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner is so efficient at sucking up stuff that you can't even see, including stuff that other vacuums leave behind, that it's a good thing you don't have to keep buying bags for it because you'd be spending a lot of money doing that.

DC25 Animal
by: Tal

We have a DC25 Animal (Purple Ball) and the thing is...in a word: awesome. Not sure how it compares to the DC07 but we only clogged it once with a combination of a plastic six-pack ring can holder with massive amounts of dog fur (Austrialian Sheppard). I was surprised to find I needed no tools to clean out the clog. Just unhooked the lower brush piece, cut up and threw away the plastic then sucked up the big hairball that was left. No problems. A big recommend since we've owned it for about 8 months now and it's still cranking.

One final note, this was our third vacuum in 3 months. Don't remember the other 2 models but they just couldn't handle the pet hair.

Response to Anonymous re: clogs & Dyson
by: Jimmie(woof)&Maureen

In response to Anonymous, wondering if my Dyson ever clogs:

Believe it or not...No! Surprising, considering the power it has to pull up such large amounts of animal fur and everything else.

The only time I've had a jam is when I accidentally sucked up something too big, like a piece of wood or something. But once again my Dyson impresses me. The design is awesome. There are several locations along the intake route that you can easily access, find where the object is that you never should have sucked up in the first place, and you're quickly and easily back on your way to vacuuming.

I never had a clog, pet fur or otherwise. But now you've got me curious about your poodle's shredded paper habit. Time out for a second... OK, I'm back. I just put my Dyson hose into the collection bin of my paper shredder. No clogs. The shredded paper is just all swirling around in the vacuum's easy to empty collection bin!

My guess as to why the Dyson doesn't clog like other vacuums I've owned is due to their innovative design...that cyclone turbo "never loses suction" power they're talking about.

Hey Dyson!...When are you going to create a wet/dry vac? It'll make Shop-Vac nervous when you do. I'll be first in line to buy one...more fun even, sucking up the wet stuff!

Hope this helps you out, "Anonymous". The Dyson is expensive, but to me I consider it well worth every penny and a good investment.

And no, I don't work for Dyson nor do I receive any compensation for saying all this good stuff. Just saying it like it is with my experiences with the amazing machine. :}

Dyson vacuum cleaners

Does your Dyson vacuum cleaner truly not clog? I really wonder if that is a valid claim they make. One of my biggest frustrations is when our canister hose gets clogged with cat hair or paper our poodles have shredded.
