Electrolux Ergorapido 2-in-1 vacuum

My friend had an Electrolux Ergorapido 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner and after using it, I decided I wanted one. The kids were fighting over who used it first at her place which also appealed to me!

Mine has poor suction and even with an empty cartridge, still just moves the dirt around. It is a poor performer on my slate floor AND ceramic traditionally tiled areas, moving dirt around rather than picking it up.

I am greatly disappointed. Additionally, 8hrs to charge with only 10 min vacuuming time is lackluster and the foot, trimmed with a rubber strip, makes it impossible to get into corners for cleaning.

After paying $180 I feel ripped off and am putting the Electrolux Ergorapido vacuum in our garage sale in a couple of weeks.

It's a shame that companies such as Electrolux AND the retail outlets that sell them, fail to provide adequate customer service for situations such as these. Warrantees are useless when it takes months to replace parts/products and what happens when the NEW one fails and is only 3months old but out of warrantee? That happened to me with kettles a few years ago. I deliberately steer clear of such outlets AND tell them so quite loudly so other customers can hear, as well as the companies who produce the crappy products AND make sure everyone I know, knows about their poor treatment of customers...THAT is my response to the poor customer service and crappy products!

Like Karen in Australia, I too purchased the Electrolux Ergorapido vacuum, having owned an elictrolux previously. However, shortly thereafter it failed to charge. After contacting Co. and a month later I recievead new charger. Not the problem. Turns out it needs to be replacaed, however, after 3 months of phone calls and endless excuses and appologies,I still am waiting for a replacement which if it ever happens will only have whatever is left of the warranty on original vac!! I feel cheated and short changed. Original vac $185, not worth $1.85.
