Eureka 8803 Capture

My Eureka 8803 Capture worked very well for about a year and did an excellent job of filtering the exaust air. But then it became very noisy and the plastic housing that holds the rotating brush in place broke and now it is useless.

Terrible. Worse vacuum ever!!!! Lost power fast, very dirty, clogged and then broke. All within 6 weeks.

I also have a Eureka Capture that worked well for a few months and then the roller bearings went bad. It still works a little but the noise it makes is horrible. Has anyone had luck returning the vacuum?

Junk!! Stay away from this vacuum. It has a horrible humming noise and I'm also ordering a new roller brush because mine broke as well. Mine goes through belts like crazy too! HATE THIS VACUUM!!!

I came online looking for a roller brush as on mine the bearings are now bad (according to hubby, not like I know lol)... cant find anything on their website... so I google my model type and lo and behold EVERYBODY is having this same problem as me! Wow, so not very happy bout this!

Machine works great until the bearings on end of
roller go bad. I've looked online to find a roller but haven't found it yet. All I find are belts, filters , bags etc. Last options is to call and order roller. Now I'm wondering how long it will last if I put new roller on it.

Bought the Eureka Capture and was very happy with it for about 5 months. But now the bearing at the end of the roller brush is coming off. It is causing the roller to rotate unevenly inside of the plastic housing causing a ton of noise and unwanted vibration which is probably going to cause the plastic housing to fail very shortly. This vacuum worked well for a while, however it is absolutely a pile of crap! Poor materials used!

Exactly the same thing happened to mine. For sure I thought I had a great buy till a year later when it all fell apart. and very noisy. $160 down the drain!!!!

found one in the garbage, took it home to save the power cord and thought what the heck, ill try it.Typical yuppies never cleaned the filters, works like a champ. thanks yuppies. Price was right.

My vacuum has become VERY noisy, as well. Plus, I had a hard time finding filter replacements and the cheap plastic pieces keep breaking in various parts of the machine. A piece of garbage!

Our housing broke as well and is noisy as hell-had to super glue the housing and still no suction-clean filters etc. POS.

This is the WORST vacuum I've ever owned!!! The cheap plastic parts started breaking almost immediately, rendering it useless. Warranty was no good either. I will never give Eureka my business gain.

Stay away from the Eureka 8803. Plastic housing for brush broke and they won't recognize it as a mfging defect. 2 weeks to ship a roller brush. This product and company are a travesty. Stay away!!!!!!

The Eureka Capture is a terrible vacumm bought mine about 6 months ago too late to take it back to Wal-mart now and today needed to clean roller brush and a small piece of the part that holds one end of brush in broke off now the brush wont stay in I am really up set dont have alot of extra money around to buy a new one . Also this was the loudest vacuum I have ever had .

I have the same problem, the plastic housing for the brush has broken and I have had this thing for less than a year. Not worth your money, that's for sure.

star 		Bad motor on my Eureka Capture

I purchased an Eureka Capture about six months ago. It cleaned very good but was a little hard to use and had to be emptied often. Now the motor is going bad! Do not purchase this unit. My last vacuum was an Eureka that was very good and lasted more then 30 years.
