Eureka Capture Bagless w/ HEPA filter

The Eureka Capture vacuum cleaner should be renamed to "The Clog-O-Matic". If it were designed to CLOG, it meets that objective flawlessly.

We have a non-shedding small dog and 1 grown child living with us. No source of excessive carpet dirt, yet this unit clogs after two or three uses. It is a real pain to take it apart, blow it out with a leaf blower, put it back together every month or so.

It somehow takes human hair and forms several mouse like obstructions by impregnating the formed hair balls with normal carpet dirt until they completely block the flow of air.

Eureka Clogger

I also have the Eureka Capture bagless model. Worked okay for about 8 months. I clean the filters religiously, but after 8 months it simply stopped sucking; or should I say it sucked but nothing wound up in the bag canister. I took the whole machine apart, down to the motor twice and it still won't suck. The duster also stopped whirling and a there is a high pitched noise too. I don't get it. I also purchased a new hepa filter (wasted my money). If it is clogged---I'd like to know where it's hiding. Eureka Capture Bagless is simply not worth the medium price comparison--a much cheaper model would have performed just as well and probably a great deal longer.

Eureka bagless machines are worthless!!
by: Scarlet

I have owned 3 Eureka bagless vacuums and they have all worked for about a year. I kept having the first 2 repaired and finally stepped up and bought a more expensive model thinking it would work better. NOPE! A year later it is making a whirring noise and spitting dust/dirt into the air. There has always been a rush of air out the front that blew what I was trying to vacuum up in the air! It is so frustrating! Don't buy Eureka anything!

Yes - it is a Clog-O-Matic!
by: Marjorie

I have the same unit and have the same problem. I think the darn thing manufactures its own dirt and uses it to clog itself??? I agree with Justin that a better name for this device would be the Clog-O-Matic.
