Hoover Nanolite

I purchased the Hoover Nanolite power brush 12amp u2440-900w vacuum cleaner and was instantly impressed with how light it was, weighing in at a whopping 11 pounds.

This cleaner has quiet, but powerful 12 amp motor and the brush control is a super feature. Vacuuming stairs is a breeze because you have a telescopic handle that transcends the vacuum to being half the size.

Totally a winner and so much so i bought two of them. Thank you Hoover for constructing such a innovative cleaner.

Can't ask for a better vacuum for the price
by: Anonymous

I bought the nanolite almost a year ago. For $50 i'd match this against the much more expensive models. It picks up dirt that my Oreck never even looked at. I think it gets a bad rap as far as features, but it is only a $50 vacuum. The cord and hose are a bit short, but manageable. As far as the belt breaking people need to realize that the carpet/bare floor switch is mechanical and should only be switched when the motor is off. Doing it while running can prematurely damage the belt.

Fantastic Find!
by: Pam

With a 3 story house and 2 dogs, we've been through some vacuum cleaners, ranging in price from $40-$200. Picked this up at Walmart for $56.00, I was a little skeptical (it doesn't look so sturdy) but was AMAZED at it's power. It picks up dirt great, is easy to empty the bagless canister and reinstall, and has a hardwood floor setting that even picks up dirt on my berber carpet.

Looking for bang for your buck... this is it.

hoover nanolite vaccuum
by: ms. johnson

well i bought this is January when i moved to my apartment thought it was great, compact and convenient until the other day when belt broke and like changing the belt on other vacuum cleaners i thought it would be a breeze and 2 hours later its still not fixed. ithas all these snappable parts but none lead you to where the belt is so to me this was a waste of money...

Love it...
by: NJ

We have a couple rentals. A tenant moved out and left this cute little vacuum. I didn't think it would be worth anything but tried it out. Wow. I'm using the heck out of it to see how rugged it is. Currently it's replaced my old stand by vac. I'm not crazy about having to empty the canister so that's the reason for only 4 stars. I'll probably buy another when this goes out.

Hoover Nanolite

I purchased this small vacuum, it was wonderful Then the belt broke. After several hours of trying to replace the belt, it burnt up. Then I tried again with another new belt, got that one on and the beater bar does not turn. I am giving up. Glad I did not purchase two of them I almost did.

Was impressed at all the dust it pulled up along with all their hair .

Hoover Nano Lite
by: Carole

Bought the Hoover Nano Lite as a 2nd vac for quick clean-ups. Wanted a machine with good suction (it has), good maneuverability (no), light weight (sort of)a carpet rotating brush (yes) and a few attachments (yes). The problem, however, is even on very low nap carpet/rugs, it is a real struggle to push, even for my husband. Tilting the handle is very awkward as well. I used it one time and am returning it.

No height adjustment for long shag
by: Anonymous

I just bought the Hoover Nanolite and like it so far but it has no height adjustment and my carpet is a pretty long shag. The user guide said it automatically adjusts to arpet height. Does any one know if this can damage my new carpet?

I purchased the Hoover for the good reputation and light weight (from Walmart in Morris Plains, New Jersey. It worked fine for about 6 weeks, then I noticed the brush rooler was not turning- the belt had broken!
