Hoover WindTunnel - Bagless

by Rob from Austin
(Austin Texas)

We bought our Hoover from Sears 4 years ago, and apart from the small-parts accessory holders breaking off the first month, it has held-up nicely despite the harsh abuse we have put it through.

We plan to purchase another Hoover. I guess we were lucky, compared to some other customers. Don't forget, you do get what you paid for!

Hoover Wind Tunnel
by: Amye Pikulski

I just purchased the Hoover Wind Tunnel and have to say I love it! I bought it, in store, from Walmart for $139. It seems to work great on tile, low pile and high pile (kind of low shag). There is a specific suction only setting for bare floors.

I like the wind up cord button that you just push to wind your cord! No more bending and wrapping and wrapping. The best feature so far seems to be the detachable dirt cup. Most of the other upright vacumes I looked at you had to open it to take it off of the vacuum. This one stays shut until you are ready to dump it. Therefor, keeping all the dust inside the vacuum and not all over your kitchen! Another plus is that it opens from the bottom which makes it even easier to empty.

I haven't used the tools yet, but there's not a lot of them. No duster wand that many of the others in it's price range did have. It does have a powered hand tool that is good for cleaning dog hair off of upholstery. Lastly, the filter is rinsable, so need to purchase new ones. I have only had it for a couple of days and can't believe how much fine dirt it picks up!

We live in Florida, so we have mostly sand and I am in shock of how much our old vacume wasn't picking up! We have 2 dogs and 2 boys so I needed a good vacuum cleaner, but didn't have a lot of money to spend. I feel like The Hoover Windtunnel was a is a lot of vacuum for a great price!

Hoover Model UH70035B Wind Tunnel+Cyclonic
by: Shelley Zurek

This thing just sucks! Literally. The Hoover Model UH70035B Wind Tunnel+Cyclonic is a very powerful vacuum and picks up everything--the best and strongest vacuum I ever used.

BUT... it is very heavy and hard to move and push, like pushing a boulder around the house. When using the attachments it falls over on you and almost takes you out (it is really heavy when it hits you).

I have the bruises to prove it--I was doing heavy duty cleaning--vaccuming under things and it fell over multiple times. The cord gets really really hot when you are using the attachments--hot enough to burn your hand! Forget about emptying the canister--what a mess!

All over you, all over the floor. I am a allergy sufferer and this nearly put me under. I bought this at Costco thank GOD! It's going back!

Windtunnel U6634900
by: Anonymous

Just returned my Wind Tunnel U6634900 today. I had purchased my first one in 2002 and it started breaking down shortly after. It went fully kaput a few months ago, but overall was a decent vaccum, with the best suction of any I have owned. Then purchased a new Wind Tunnel (March 3rd). The first problem with it was the dirtfinder light, I noticed immediately that it wasn't working correctly, but it isn't a hugely important feature to me, so I ignored it. Then the self-propel feature started to get a little funky, about a week ago. Two days ago, the on/off switch broke, and the only way to turn it off was to unplug it. Today it went back to the store that I bought it from. I am going to try a Dyson.
