Kirby G4 vacuum

My family has always had a Kirby of one kind or another. So we got a Kirby G4 for our house a few years ago.

We shampoo our carpets more often then a lot of people but it is so easy to do so, and it keeps the allergens out. As for our carpet it has made it to 19 years and still looks like new.

At that time i tried to tell a buddy to get one, he is now putting in his 3rd carpet and just replaced his Dyson that didn't last but 2 years with a Riccar.

Wow what a waste of money, but i pointed it out to him, now all he can say is "I know" people throw all their money away on plastic disposable vacs and then tell me i'm crazy to have spent that kind of money.

All i can say is Kirby has been around for along time and they have a quality product that as far as i am concerned is worth every penny.

I own a Kirby G4 vacuum cleaner and love it! I didn't have to go through the demonstration because my husband used to give them. Lucky me! However I would have bought a Kirby even if I didn't like the salesman.

Both my mother's and father's parents owned Kirbys and they are both in working order today. My mom is now 64 and her mother has owned the Kirby as long as she can remember. For me the weight isn't bad; there is a specific spot in the handle where you pick it up to distribute the weight.

My husband has asthma and no other vacuum will clean the house well enough to allow us to control the things that trigger his asthma. We bought ours when I was pregnant because of the natural enzyme cleaner used. I am very concerned about cleaning product residues on the surfaces my son comes in contact with often. Our vacuum actually taught my son to crawl by pushing the vacuum when it was off!

The newer Kirbys come with a transmission and when they are off you leave them in neutral allowing them to be moved easily. I love my vacuum and will own it forever, unless we can get an awesome deal on the Sentria model (which I like better primarily because of its color).

These really are great vacuums and I suggest you search for an authorized repair shop in your area. They just might have a trade-in Kirby that they have refurbished and can sell for much less. Please don't allow a sales person turn you off to this product, if you don't like the one that came by request a different one through the Kirby website.

The Kirby G4 vacuum really does do everything they say it does, it isn't a matter of trickery, you're house really is dirtier than you might think.

I have had my Kirby G4 for 15 years and about 3 years ago I was having problems with it not picking up small debris such as a small piece of lint or string. I took it to the repair shop to have it rebuilt for about 150.00 and it worked fine for about 1 year.

I've been putting up with the poor performance for about 2 years because my husband didn't agree with the price tag of over $1,500.00 when I first purchased it. I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar problem with their G4.

I have good things to say about the kirby G4 vacuum. when we pulled up the carpet we found no dirt between the rug and the pad and none under the either. compared to what should have been there and the dirt we found against the walls where the vacuum couldn't reach.

my only problem was with the seller. they erased and changed some things on the contract after they left with us and before submitting it therefor resulting in our purchase price of it being 2500$. the finance company would not work with us saying we should have been more careful and we had to pay it.
