Kirby legend II

The Kirby legend II vacuum is amazing. It may be heavy, but it will also outclean anything, even if it's 20 years old.

Everything on the vacuum is bullet proof. It is virtually impossible to clog and the suction is amazing.

Better be careful if you have area rugs because this will eat them. You can buy bags online or your local vac shop.

If you want a vacuum that just might outlast you and get your carpets cleaner then they have ever been, get yourself a Kirby.

I've always liked Kirby vacuum cleaners, and so when I saw one at a flea market I had to try it. To give you an idea of the conditions that I tried it in, here's what the store is like.

The last time that the carpets have been thoroughly cleaned was probably at least ten years ago, if not more. The carpets are very dirty-looking. Well, at a booth in the store that had vacuum cleaners, I saw a few Kirbys and an Oreck. My brother tried the Oreck and it did nothing to the carpet. I tried the Kirby Legend.

As soon as I switched it on, it quickly clamped down on the rug. I could hear bits of rock being sucked up that I didn't know were in the carpet. After a couple of quick swipes across the same area of the carpet, I switched off the machine, and the result was amazing. There, amid the thousands of square feet of dirty orange carpet was one bright, clean, new-looking patch where the Kirby had been.

I doubt that any other vacuum cleaner could have done it. The Orecks certainly couldn't. I'm definitely planning on buying a Kirby. When a vacuum cleaner clamps down on a carpet and won't let go, you know it's got some power!

I totally agree. In fact, I am transporting this Kirby 600 miles. It cleans far better than my new all-house vacuum.
