Need an industrial vacuum that picks up heavy dirt

I run a warehouse which contains water, food and paper/plastic items. In the winter we have to park our diesel trucks inside.

They bring in a heavy amount of dirt and salt which has to be swept before I use a small floor scrubber. Everything gets covered in dust and dirt film.

I would like to vacuum the dirt up before I use the scrubber to eliminate airborne dust. Any suggestions?

Industrial Vacuum Cleaner For Warehouse

Hello,

My name is Chris, and I work for GoVacuum.com. We carry a wide range of vacuum cleaners, including industrial strength commercial vacuums. Probably the best option for you with your situation is a 10 or 15 gallon commercial wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

Not only will these types of machines have a lot more suction power to vacuum up salt and the dirt, but they also use a 1.5" diameter hose, unlike regular household vacuums which use a 1.25". This gives you more airflow, which allows more dirt to be vacuumed faster.

There are basically two different types of machines that you can vacuum the floors with these types of machines.

The first model is more like a canister vacuum cleaner that has a hose connected to wands and floor tool. I highly recommend the Powr Flite PF54 Wet/Dry 15 gallon industrial vacuum.

The second type of machine actually uses a front mount squeege attachment to the front of the machine, and is meant for cleaning very large areas quickly. For this style, the Powr-Flite PF53 15 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner.

Both models have a convenient dust cup that is emptied, but also have a Cartridge filter to stop fine dust particles that may be exhausted on most other brands.

If dust is a major concern for you at your warehouse, they do also make models that are HEPA certified for schools, hospitals, and other clean air zones. For a HEPA filtration model, the Powr-Flite model PF25HM HEPA Certified Industrial Wet/Dry Vacuum is the best on the market in my opinion.

Not only does it filter microscopic dust particles,but the entire machine is made from metal, from top to bottom. This rugged construction will help ensure you get 15+ years out of your investment with minimal problems.
