Nutone Central Vacuum Systems

Offering A Central Vac For Every Need

NuTone central vacuum systems are one of the most popular central vacuums on the market. Let's see why NuTone is one of the best...
NuTone offers 11 different power units and here we'll focus on 3 of them: the VX1000, CV450, and CV554.

The main difference between power units is their power and whether they use a bag or a dust basin.

NuTone VX1000 Central Vac

The VX1000 comes in two versions: a bagged variant and the VX1000C cyclonic version.

In the bagged variant, the dust is passed through a HEPA-rated filter into a replaceable vacuum bag. The cyclonic version, on the other hand, stores the dust into a permanent dust basin that requires emptying when it is full.

Both models feature light indicators from which you could discern if you have to empty the basin or bag. Both versions use Teflon anti-stick technology to keep dust and bacteria inside the tank or bag so that they do not scatter or make it out of the container. They also have an EasySnap changing mechanism so it is easy to change the bag or the filter.

With their left or right-hand intake ports, the VX1000 NuTone central vacuum systems' installation can be done to simplify or to fit the layout of the house.

NuTone CV450 and CV554 Central Vac Systems

Powered by two motors, the CV450 is designed to exhibit excellence in its cleaning capabilities. With a 2.5-horsepower rating, this NuTone central vacuum cleaner can operate on 50-60 Hz circuits on a 20-ampere dedicated circuit.

To protect itself from motor overloading, the CV450 has a built-in overload protection features as well as switch controls that are useful in case of power fluctuations that result in low voltage.

It features a vacuum inlet on the main power unit itself, so that you can also perform cleaning in the main unit's area. The CV450's housing is made of rugged steel, and can be easily installed and secured because of its wall-mounting bracket.

With its 6-gallon dust bin, you need not do frequent emptying and maintenance of the dust bin. It needs to be emptied only at least twice a year.

The CV554 has the same features and specifications as the CV450, but it is powered by one fan-cooled, 2-stage universal bypass motor. It is ideal for middle-sized homes with an area of up to 3,000 square feet, while the CV450 can handle homes that measure at most 6,000 square feet.

Where to Buy NuTone Central Vacuum Cleaners

NuTone vacuum systems are available from several sources online. The best merchant would be NuTone's official website itself.

Although they don't provide reviews, NuTone's official website gives out detailed information about the capabilities and specifications of each central vacuum cleaner they sell. Not only that, you could download comprehensive specification sheets and an installation guide from each central vacuum cleaner's individual page.

The site also has a dealer locator feature. One advantage of using the NuTone official website is that they have a comprehensive catalog, including parts for central vacuum cleaners.

You are sure that the products you are looking at certainly work for NuTone central vacuum cleaners when you install them to replace old and worn components.

As for consumer reviews, you can find a few on Epinions.com website and in most cases these are really hard to find. If you have been using a NuTone central vac, please let us know how it worked for you!
