Oreck XL2 Ultra

I've had the Oreck XL2 Ultra vacuum cleaner for several years now and feel that it's an overpriced tool that doesn't do all it's touted to do.

I've taken it in for it's annual tune-up without fail since I purchased it and it is very well taken care of.

I like the lightweight design and use it when my back is bothering me, but for actual cleaning, I much prefer the cheaper Dirt Devil or Eureka vacuums that I have.

Both do a better job of picking up, edge cleaning, and the overall performance is better. I can use my Oreck XL2 Ultra and then go over the same area with my Eureka and still get dog hair and dirt in the bag.

My Eureka bag will fill up 3 times faster than the Oreck which gives me a pretty good idea that the Oreck doesn't pick up as well as the Eureka.

My house is generally very clean as there is only one person and one small dog living in it and the vacuum is run several times a week and sometimes twice on the weekends, depending on the traffic through it.

Don't waste your money on an Oreck XL2 Ultra vacuum; it's just not worth the hundreds of dollars that it costs.
