Oreck XL2

I am on my second Oreck - the XL2. I don't remember what model my first Oreck was. All I remember is it was good on my short plush carpet and never got dog hair wrapped around the roller. It was amazing.

My new Oreck XL2 is hard to push. I have to continually stop and cut off dog hair from the roller and to top it all off I have to open the handle stem and dump out the dog hair every time I finish.

I live in an apartment with a lab and a retriever. I am tired of it and am looking for a better vac. Don't tell me about Dyson. I had one of those too.
