Rainbow e Series

The Rainbow Vacuum e Series definitely picks up the debris and the water cannister ensures it stays captured.

BUT!! The cost of the Rainbow is borderline ridiculous but we bought it anyway (just shy of $2000). Furthermore when you get through vacuuming the entire house you know you have been working as the vacuum cleaner is bulky and extremely difficult to maneuver around the house, especially if you change floor levels.

We own the Rainbow and we do not like it as it is too hard to use. We are looking for another vacuum at this time.

it is so stupid that when someone puts a post up saying how they do not like the rainbow these stupid sales people have to put there two cents in. the truth of the matter is if you want to spend a stupid amount of money on a vacuum that is hard to use and have to empty a big water container, which by the way you cant dump it in the sink or anything bc it will clog everything up so you have to go outside and dump it in your yard. wow what a joke would not use one of these if someone gave one to me. but if all of that doesnt matter then go for it. i can think of a lot of more important things to spend 2200 bucks on.

Rainbow is the best

I was also in disbelief of the rainbow before i went to a openhouse and I was so amazed at what it would do compared to any other on the market that I acctually am now a salesman for them ....and another thing about the price....before you buy anything just think about how much you spend on cleaning supplies over a 10 year period like candles vaccume bags or filters and belts brooms mops ect...and if you take the above advice and look at it like an investment it would save you a good bit of cash over that ten year period....and actually really cleans your house and replaces all your cleaning supplies...so the price shouldnt be a consern if you look at it like that.....

Love My Rainbow

My rainbow lasted over 30 years without any maintenance. My floors were cleaner than any floor I have seen in other's homes. My rainbow just died and I am looking to buy a used one that is in excellent shape. I do not like to use Ebay and will watch my newspaper classified section. I would never buy any other type of vacuum. Love My Rainbow. The one guy who said the reason why people do not like the Rainbow is because they are lazy, well I believe that. No one in my family will use it because they are all too lazy to empty the water basin, refill it or clean it when done. They admitted it. I had named my Rainbow R2D2 because it was the old metal one and it reminded me of the character on Star Wars.

Rainbow Vacuum system in general

My wife and I had a problem with dust in the house like many other people. We decided to look at the Rainbow cleaner and after the demonstration we bought it. Man was it expensive. From the day we bought it I regretted it.

Filling the water container, emptying the water container, filling, emptying, filling, emptying, on and on. If you don't do the entire house at once you have to still empty it or the next time you turn it on it will smell really really bad. I could be more descriptive but I think you get the point. So you really have to make sure you empty it.

We left the vacuum on low speed thinking it would get the dust out the air. Nope. Didn't notice any difference. We stop doing it. And as just vacuuming, we don't see any difference with our other vacuum we had.

So, if you're looking to buy this Rainbow system make sure your back is in good shape because it is such a pain in the neck, back, and butt.
After this if your still thinking of buying this, check on ebay. Will be putting it up soon.

Completely disagree with your comment on the Rainbow. I have had a Rainbow for several years and will never own another vacuum. Nothing compares to this product. You have to see it as an investment! It is by far the lightest vacuum I've used. You drag it behind you, not push it like other vacs! I agree with the other comments, good luck finding anything that will measure up to a Rainbow. You won't find anything that will! I grew up using a Kirby and they are extremely heavy and hard to get attachments onto. If you have ever seen the demonstration of the Rainbow then it hands down beats anything else on the market! It's not just a vacuum it's an air cleaning system for your home!

GOOD LUCK ON BUYING AN IFERIOR VAC

WHAT EVER VACUUM YOU GO OUT AND BUY WILL NOT CLEAN THE FLOORS OR THE AIR AS WELL AS A RAINBOW. WE HAVE CARPET, TILE,AND WOOD FLOORS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM MOVING THE MACHINE FROM SURFACE TO SURFACE. ANY VACUUM YOU BUY WILL USE BAGS OR FILTERS TO CATCH THE FILTH. NO MATTER THE TYPE OF FILTERING YOU USE, UNLESS YOU THROUGH AWAY THE BAG OR EMPTY THE CONTAINER EVERYTIME YOU VACUUM THERE WILL BE GERM AND BACTERIA GROWTH OCURRING IN THE VAC. YOU WILL ALSO GET THOSE GERMS AND DUST BLOWING OUT OF THE EXHAUST OF YOUR VAC WHEN IN USE. THAT IS WHY YOU GET THE VACUUM CLEANER SMELL WITH FILTERED MACHINES. WITH THE NEW MODEL WE LEAVE THE MACHINE RUNNING IN THE CORNER CLEANING THE AIR. WHEN WE GO TO CLEAN WE TAKE OUT THE POWER NOZZLE WHICH IS LIGHTER THAN ANY FULL SIZE VAC. TRY A KIRBY SEE HOW HEAVY THEY ARE MUST WEIGH 40 LBS. AND CLEANS 1/2 AS WELL. I HAVE NOT RUN INTO A MACHINE THAT CLEANS AS WELL AS A RAINBOW. THE RAINBOW DOES NOT USE PAPER FILTERS LIKE ALL THE OTHERS SO IT NEVER LOSES AIR FLOW WHICH IS WHAT ACTUALLY CLEANS THE FLOORS NOT SUCTION. AGAIN GOOD LUCK AT FINDING THAT MACHINE THAT DOES NOT EXIST.

My family has been using Rainbows for over 20 years. The main reason people do not like Rainbows is because they are just to lazy to take the time and empty the water in the basin and replace it. No other vacuum cleans as well as a Rainbow hands down. If you don't mind a little effort and you would like a clean home then Rainbow is right for you. My wife and I are fixing to purchase our second rainbow, our first Rainbow was purchased 20 years earlier.
