Rainbow - old model

In 1989 we purchased a rebuilt Rainbow vacuum. Although it took a little time to set up and put away each week it cleaned very well.

After moving to a multi level home about 10 years later the challenge of the stairs became difficult. When the power head needed replacing I put it in a closet.

At the time a new power head was going to cost a little over $200 so I just purchased an upright "Wind Tunnel". The "Wind Tunnel" wore out after a couple of years and then I purchased a "Dirt Devil" upright.

Now that has worn out and I get my Rainbow out of the closet to clean a little while I shop for a new vacuum. Since I'm not as young as I used to be I'm looking for a lighter weight vacuum to do stairs but I love the cleaning capability of the Rainbow.

I have enjoyed the quick and easy clean up that the uprights offer. Maybe I'm ready for a light weight vacuum and a new power head for my Rainbow as well.
