Bought my Rainbow vacuum in 1989 and had to replace it in 1993 because my husband got too excited using it and picked up nails and cement with it. It cost him to buy me a new one. By this time they had the deep vacuum adapter that is great. Leaves rugs new. I still have the new one and works like a charm. Specially with 3 asthmatic children I need to be careful with dust and allergens around the house.

Somewhere over the Rainbow!

My mother bought me a Rainbow vacuum as a wedding shower gift. I had never heard of Rainbow, and had NOOOO idea how expensive they were. It is a multi purpose vacuum and shampooer with lots of attachments for upholstery, curtains, etc. It took probably 20 minutes to read the instructions and figure out how to work it, but after one use, I was a Rainbow fanatic.

The pro and con of the machine is the water reservoir.

Pro- because everything you vacuum is filtered through water, none of the dust or dirt is recirculated into the air, like every other vacuum does.

Con- depending on how often you vacuum, and how dirty your floors get, emptying the dirty water can be utterly disgusting. I just took it outside to the yard and disposed of it there. UGGGHH!

Other than that, it does the BEST job vacuuming and shampooing, rolls around very easily, has a very long hose and cord, and is overall the best quality in every aspect. Now I know why they are so expensive, but they will last for a very long time.

I never got over losing my Rainbow, since my husband donated it to the church yard sale. I am now shopping online to buy a new one- at his expense! Soon he will know how very expensive a Rainbow can be!

Rainbow vacuum

I bought my Rainbow vacuum cleaner in 1985 complete with the Aqua-Mate and power nozzle for my carpets. My machine is 25 years old and still going strong. The only reason I am getting another smaller model is because I find it heavy to trek around now.

It was the best $1300 I ever spent and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a good multi-function machine that really does what it claims. Feel free to call me if you want more details. Sandra LaCouvee, Saint-Lambert, Quebec 450-812-4357.

this is the best vacum i have ever used yes all vacum clenaers work,well mine have but oh yes the but ,if i said to you that i had a car and it had a max speed of 30 MPH it works right ? until you compare it to a car that can cruise at 100 MPH .what i am trying to say is that the other vacums are miles off when it comes removing dirt ,oh and saving time and removing all the dust oh and cleaning the air they are the best vacum on the market well worth every penny and i should know i own a carpdet cleaning business .
