SD40005CA Dirt Devil Purpose for Pets

I have just bought a Dirt Devil Purpose for Pets. Its a 12 amps hepa Media. All good features. BUT. the cord is solidly attached to the beater bar and is clipped to the metal wand also the plastic wand and is plugged into the vacuum,there is not a break in this cord and there is 9 clips to push this cord into.

To just use the hose this whole cord has to be unclipped. Then re-clipped to use the beater bar again. Who ever designed this machine never used a vacuum. This terrible feature spoils the whole vacuum.

I am sure it cleans very well but I will never know, it's going back in its box and back to the store. I can't see anyone keeping this vacuum.I am so disappointed.
