Sentria complaint

I need to know how to file a complaint. My husband and I paid a local distributor for a new machine on 3/26/09.

After numerous phone calls to him leaving voice messages, April 11th he delivered but left no bags with the promise of returning on Sunday, which was a "no show".

After he left, I reviewed machine which is a USED vacuum cleaner, no warranty papers, etc. I left him another voicemail today to bring a new machine or return our money.

Any assistance in directing me to the avenue to pursue this would be appreciated. Many years ago I had a Kirby and this is our 2nd purchase.

I am willing to pursue this to the extent of making this right.

Vickie Fisher, 704-436-9050(h) (704)743-1039 (w)

Someone please direct me to a source to correct this situation. Thank you.

Kirby complaint
by: Maria Moncada

The intro article about pushy sales people was right in the spot. I am a 60 Y.O and disabled. I had an experience with a group of sales people that came to my house least month.

Even after I called to cancel the sale they returned twice to try to talk me into it again. . The Kirby vacuum is no question well built. But is too bulky and hard to maneuver. Did a poor job for me when i was trying to pick up fiberglass pebbles used for teddy bear filling from my carpet. It only pushed it away, had to run over several times in order to be picked up.

Is also hard to switch parts that to me, is not worth the trouble. The price is much too high, even if comes with a life warranty. Is over $2000.00, I can get a used car for that amount.

I would contact the company and file a small claims suit
by: Anonymous

I would first contact the company, starting with local first and then up the chain. I would let them know that I was prepared to go to small claims court if the situation is not rectified. In NC there is a 30 day law for anything which is sold in the home... such as vacuum cleaners, Mary Kay cosmetics, etc. It protects consumers from high pressure sales.... contact a consumer advocate group... you might try the Better Business Bur. in your state or home town.
