Shark Roadster V1315

by Cyndi
(Dahlonega, Ga)

While I love my Shark Roadster Model V1315 twister bagless upright vacuum, a piece of the beater bar rotary part wore out. Searching online for the part has been a failure, and after calling the company and waiting for 20 minutes, I was told they no longer make these or the parts.

Shark Euro Pro website shows this vacuum but as a different model number, instead of helping me with lets see if it would work, I was told to buy a new vacuum. Just Great!

Shark Roadster vacuum is the best!
by: Anonymous

I do cleaning for a living on the Gulf of Mexico. The Shark Roadster is the BEST vacuum I have ever used! It is great for sand and wonderful for picking up dog hair also. I wish I could find another one so I can use mine for home and leave the other in my vehicle for my business!

Barely 1 star rating for the Roadster
by: J. Johnson

The Shark Roadster Canister Vacuum is annoying at its best. It cleans very well WHEN IT WANTS TO.

I received this as a Christmas present along with the free handheld Euro Pro Vac. It needs to be emptied often.

I live in a one bedroom single floor apartment. The vacuum cannot complete the vacuum cycle for my living room, dining room, and bedroom. It shuts itself off after completing one and a half rooms at best.

Then you have to take out every filter wash them and empty the canister and wash it as well. Then after everything dries for a few hours put it all back together and finish the rest of the vacuuming only to have it shut off again just as you are done.

I only had this vacuum a month before the hose split and I fixed it Macgyver style with some old fashioned duct tape. All in all I would barely offer this a one star rating.

The one star is for the cleaning and suction it provides when it is actually running. DON'T waste your money on this one.

When I get some money together I am gonna buy a Dirt Devil or maybe even a DYSON.

This looks nice but is just not very convenient as a mother I have better things to do than spend all day with an annoying vacuum,.... which I am afraid is all this is ANNOYING!!!!!!

The Roadster nightmare
by: Roma Clark

We bought the Shark Roadster at Target about three years ago for our Winter condo. It has been a nightmare for us.

It will work for about 15 minutes and then shuts off. Once in a while it will start again after waiting a while.

Today, it ran for about 10 minutes, stopped and will not start again.

Because we have another vacuum here this hasn't been used very much, so we feel that it was indeed a waste of money to say nothing of the time we have spent trying to get it to work.

Shark Roadster problems
by: Marsea

The Shark Roadster vacuum cleaner is like the biggest piece of crap I've bought in a long time. I have used it like 5 times now.

It can not clean much more than a 10 X 10 room without a filter cleaning, which is a pain in the a--. Since the filter clogs soooo totally well, the vacuum brush unit will not spin due to like a lack of volume of air or whatever.

Today was the kicker, the automatic roll up cord...WON'T. After like messing with the never ending filter thingie, I tackled the cord release problem.

After no success trying to get it to release I just threw it at the floor and that fixed it (I know temper, temper). Now the stupid cord only rolls up, won't stay in locked position.

The Shark Roadster vac has been the most frustration I ever got for 99 bucks at Target. PLZ, PLZ don't waste your money. #1 if you like want a power brush head, go the extra 30 bucks or so and get one that uses a electric motor & belt system.

Bags are good, at least you don't stop and replace once or twice at each room. Typical junk, pay a lot, in a short time get little to nothing in the satisfaction feelings or whatever.

And yeah, I've had the Roadster vacuum long enough to by now lose the receipt and had it like too long to return anyway. A 99 buck life lesson.

Shark Roadster Bagless Upright Vacuum
by: Cathy L

I have had this vacuum for a couple of years now and it has NEVER worked. The first week it was purchased it stopped sucking correctly. I am not an expert by no means but the way I see it is that the hole where the dirt enters in the canister is just about an inch or so from one of the many of filters on this thing. Therefore the dirt gets trapped on the filter and Clogs the output dirt hole forcing the dirt to Stay in the hose, resulting in NO suction. Save your money on this and Do Not Buy, "The Shark Roadster"
