Simplicity

My Simplicity vacuum cost me $700 and it has been a piece of junk since the day I purchased it.

This is the sorriest $700 I ever spent, and would like to warn you not to buy one.

I bought mine at Kirkwoods in Highland Heights, Ky.

The place where I bought it have not stood behind it and now I am going to have to hire an attorney to get my money back.

Kirkwood vacuum is great

I published a page concerning my Simplicity Sweeper I purchased at Kirkwood Vacuum in Cold Springs, Ky. I was terribly upset over my expensive vacuum that didn't work properly and I wasn't getting any satisfaction concerning my problem.

That was until Mr. Bob Kirkwood got hold of the information and called me personally and now I have a vacuum that I enjoy using.

After 2 years of fighting with this machine a very nice employee of Mr. Kirkwood took my vacuum into the shop and Mr. Kirkwood made sure I was completely happy. It took me a wk. or two to be able to trust this vacuum but now it is working great and I am glad I spent my savings for it.

I suggest anyone to go to Kirkwood Vacuum in Cold Spring and purchase a machine. I only wish this could have been resolved before 2 yrs, but it is now and I feel as if someone lifted a weight from my shoulders.

I really do want to take care of this situation but I do not know who you are and you will only sign your corespondence "anonymous". You claim that you have your vacuum in our store right now and I have talked with most all the people that work with me that may have had contact with you. So far we have not been able to figure out who you are or how we can help you. You mentioned that I was in the store when you brought your sweeper in and that we blew you off. I do not respond to my customers that way. I have gone out of my way many many times to solve any customer's issue. Please, please contact my directly @ 859-341-0900 so that I can help you solve this disatisfaction. I am at the shop 70-80 % of the time but if we miss each other please leave a message and I promise that I will get back to you and solve this for you.
I assure you that if I knew who you were I would have already resolved this. That really bothers me that you say I blew you off at my store because I would never do that.

This is to Mr. Kirkwood. I am the the dissatisfied customer with the $700 vacuum sweeper that doesn't work. I don't understand why it came to this E-Mail exchanges, when I have brought this vacuum back to your store a wk. after I had it and told your clerk, I believe his name was Jason, that my vacuum did not work properly and he threw some fuzz on the floor and ran the vacuum over it and said "see, it works fine" I tried to explain that it kept breaking belts and it didn't pick up as well as my $200 bagless. He said that was impossible because it was the best on the market. Well that night channel nine did a report on what vacuum not to buy and Simplicity was first on the list. I have the report in front of me as I write.
I have brought this vacuum out to your store 3 or 4 times and you were right there in the room when I complained it didn't work. Both men just brushed the issue off like I didn't know what I was talking about. I used my savings to buy this vacuum because I believed what your saleslady told me. I have conjestive heart failure and it has been really hard dragging that vacuum over and over to your store. I took it in because it kept breaking belts and Jason charged me $27 to put a belt on it. I think this treatment is contradictory to what you are saying about customer service. The vacuum is at your shop now because when I tried to replace a belt again the roller and springs flew out at me and now the saleslady says to me," oh you have a real problem it looks like a bearing problem"
I really wished I would have listened to the company that put my carpet in when he warned me not to get a Simplicity. Again, this was my savings I used to buy this and I can not afford to spend money to buy another one or I would and throw this one where it belongs.

Want to solve, and make customer happy

My name is Bob Kirkwood and I own that store in Cold Spring, Ky., that I believe this customer is refering to. We at Kirkwood's do not just leave our customers unsatisfied and I do want to help this customer solve this particular issue. I am not familiar with this situation and do not think I have ever been contacted about this. We always have and always will do everything in our power to make a customer happy. All of our associates are trained to do what ever it takes to satisfy a customer and/or to refer a situation to me. I am sorry that this has not already been resolved.
