Ultima and Optima

When I say SUCK, I mean it negatively. I have had 3 Eurekas and will not purchase another.

The first 2 (Optimas) I lost a wheel on both models. You can't just replace the wheel. It is trash after that.

Optima - I have no idea how, but the handle broke off. I thought they did well in cleaning, but the manufacturing was poorly done.

Last Eureka I will ever purchase. I'm a sucker!

Optima Lightweight
by: Anonymous

Desired Features: quiet, but still powerful; attachments included; on/off brush function; low budget; lightweight; bagged vacuum

Pros: quiet; lightweight; on/off brush roll; attachments; low budget

Cons: telescopic wand is a bit too tight for me and I have to strain to keep it stretch and reached out; cord is way too short; bagless

I don't understand the trend in bagless vacuums. If I ever get lice or some other parasite, I don't want to have to mess with emptying the contents and risk releasing into the air what I just vacuumed. I decided on the Opitma while I wait for a bagged vacuum of my dreams to be invented.

Wheels
by: R Woodward

I love this light weight Optima Vacuum. Only one big problem with this model. Now my wheels fall off. First one and now both of them while I am using it. I have tried to fix them but I cannot see what the problem is.

It is a good, easy to handle machine and I have two electrolux ones but they are so heavy that I usually choose my Eureka Optima as I am not a young person anymore and the lighter one is perfect for me.

Any suggestions to how to fix this problem?
