The nickel solution

The Kirby Ultimate G-Diamond Edition is a great vacuum if you have allergies. It does a great job sucking all of the nasty things out of the carpet. That's all.

It takes twice as long to clean because I end up doing every room twice; once with the carpet head then again with the tool attachment head.

This feature is a constant source of aggravation since the bag lays down with the slightest pressure from the power cord, causing the metal part of the vacuum to lay on it's side and scratch the floor.

I use a bungie cord to keep it in place (see photo).Unfortunately, this interferes with the use of the handle to carry this 14 lb monster around, thus making it NOT convenient to use on stairs, as their website claims.

The rotary head for cleaning pet hair is useless. The one that Kenmore includes with their canisters works 100% better. I'm on this website looking for a canister that will be more convenient to use for everyday/quick clean-ups.

Although the Kirby will survive a nuclear blast, it isn't worth much if it's a pain to use. I really wish I hadn't bought it.
