Vacuum cleaners with bags have been the traditional model and they worked on a simple principle.

These bags were replaceable and worked as a filter which trapped any kind of dirt and debris that was sucked in by the vacuum cleaner hose.

Positioned as much more user-friendly and less-messy than the vacuum cleaners with bags, bagless vacuum cleaners hardly live up to the claims.

Yes, they allow you to have a clear view of how much of the container is filled and you don't need to worry as to when you have to change the container.

But, removing the container and emptying it of its content can be messy at times. You might have to scrape the bits that have got stuck at the bottom.

Add to that the hassle of wither brushing or washing and drying the filters. Some models even come with filters which have to be completely replaced.

Interesting fact: If you had by an accident vacuumed something important and you use a bagless vacuum cleaner with a container, you can retrieve it.

Although vacuum cleaner bags are sometimes a hassle there are still many pros of using vacuums of this type. They are still very popular models and the market clearly reflects that - the manufacturers still produce wide variety of vacuum cleaners that use bags so obviously they do the job well.

Things to Consider About Vacuum Cleaner Parts

When we enter the store to buy our vacuum cleaner the last thing on our mind is considering the vacuum cleaner parts too.

We will be more focused on the brand we are getting, whether it's a Hoover or a Kirby or a Panasonic; we will be more concerned about the model and obviously the price.

But forgetting about the vacuum cleaner parts can be a big mistake.

The choice of vacuum cleaners we have today is astounding and if you are going for one of those unusual models make sure that you will get the replacement parts easily. Don't just get lost in the advertising gimmicks which highlight the power, versatility and other features.

Machines of better brands (Kirby, Dyson, Hoover, Panasonic, …) generally don't break down that easily. But over time regular wear and tear can result in some of the parts malfunctioning and you need to replace them.
