Why is Kirby sold with different prices?

by Norma Mcquait
(Wahiawa HI )

I'm just curious because I got my Kirby vacuum for $2,400.

If I pay for 2 yrs it's gonna be $3,100 something. Some people sell for $2,800 and some for $1,800.

I think it's so unfair that they got their Kirby for cheaper price and I got mine for an expensive price.

Hi Norma,

This is one question I really don't know the answer to, but I invite the readers to post their thoughts and experiences when buying a Kirby vacuum cleaner...

Kinda like buying a car...

You have purchased one fine machine! Whatever you paid for it, it is well worth it. Your new Kirby will last you a lifetime, don't fret... Kirby's are sold door to door by sales people that work on commission. Buying a Kirby is no differnt than buying a car, the price is negotiable. Some people feel cheated by this technique of sales, but keep in mind that the person selling the product whatever it might be is trying to make a living like anyone else.

Kirby pricing
by: Anonymous

The Kirby salesman makes an incredible commission when he sells a Kirby vacuum cleaner. The price disparity has to do with what he is willing to forfeit in terms of his commission. What most people don't know is that for the cost of a Kirby they can have a top of the line central vacuum system installed in their home. Almost any home can be retrofitted for a central vacuum system and there is no upright on the market that has power comparable to a central vacuum system. Finally, with the dirt canister located away from the living area, a central vacuum system is the only 100% dust free way to clean.
